A few friends and I went up to visit a wolf sanctuary out in the middle of nowhere. Being the animal lover that I am, especially dogs for that nature, I wasn't the least bit frightened. I was excited, but at the same time not sure of what to expect. My expectations were low, thinking we wouldn't get a chance to touch the wolves or even get anywhere near them. I thought wrong. It was amazing! We were allowed to get up close and personal with a few of the wolves because the wolf lady aka "The Alpha" liked us and saw we were brave enough to enter. It was funny hearing her remarks about other people there that were talking to the wolves using baby voices and making annoying kissy noises. She was Pocahontas at her finest and you could tell she loved her animals so very much. She had taught us a lot about wolves and even offered to take photos of us while we played with them. And yes carrots are not just for horses or bunnies, believe it or not wolves like them too, as well as duck jerky, bone marrow and dog bones.

Glad to see wolves have had their share in the spotlight with making it on the big screen and all, ending up on a lot of clothing, etc...
